Hello Tipsters,

After a week of suspense, the final Beanstalk Footy Tipping results have been posted, but before we get into that... we would like to acknowledge our loyal and generous sponsors for the 2009 season.

Thankyou very much to the guys at East End Cellars who were our major sponsor for the year providing a nice selection of wines for the final prize pool. Many thanks also to our weekly prize sponsors, including Killibinbin Wines, Model Flight, Little Brampton Wines, Zeeba on Melbourne Street, MSV - Murray Street Vineyards and last but not least, InkJet City!

Also, a big thankyou to all tippers who slogged it out in this year's competition - without you, the competition would not survive! We hope you all had some fun and came into contact with some great local businesses along the way!

So, onto the moment you've been waiting for:

Congratulations to all winners of the 2009 Beanstalk Footy Tipping Competition,
enjoy your well deserved prizes...

1st Place - Jim Deer, Half Court Tennis
The winner of a 'big' gourmet hamper bursting at the seams with a fine selection of wines and nibbles. And after a few wines, Jim can pilot his new Mini Super Cub r/c Plane complete with 'Anti-Crash Technology' (we kid you not!). Congrats Jim on a fine effort throughout the season, finishing off with 8 from 8 tips in the last round of tipping, sealing the season win by 3 points!

2nd Place - Paul Thomas, Adcorp Marketing
The winner of a gourmet hamper packed to the brim with a fine selection of wines and nibbles. And Paul, if you don't feel like sharing your prizes you can label them all with your new Brother P-Touch Portable Labeller! Congrats Paul on a fine effort throughout the season, consistently fighting it out around the top of the ladder and finishing on equal points with 3rd place, but taking 2nd place on 'count-back'!

3rd Place - Damian Squire, Australia Post
The winner of a gourmet hamper packed with a fine selection of wines and nibbles. Congrats to Damian on a fine effort throughout the season, who was also consistently fighting it out around the top of the ladder and only just missed out on 2nd place by 'count-back'. A fine effort.

And the Wooden Spooner for the 2nd year running!
Robert Malliotis, Signature Labels

Congratulations Robert, on looking back over the results you managed to achieve the lowest position of those who actually tipped almost every week! The fact you have done this two years in a row suggests it may have been intentional, in which case you have tipped just as well as 1st place - We don't have a wooden spoon to award as a prize this year so hopefully you can make good use of these two bottles of wine instead!

Congratulations also to the top ten tippers....

Jim Deer - Half Court Tennis
Paul Thomas - Adcorp Marketing
Damian Squire - Australia Post
Damien Mutton - Built Environs
Shannon Prance - Faiveley Transport
Nicole Reimann - Bayer Schering Pharma
Rod Dewey - SA Digital Imaging Centre
Richard Green - SPT
Steve Murphy - Steve Murphy Merchandising
Frank Ballard - St Brigids Kilburn
